Continuing Giles Travel’s strong growth and development, We would like to introduce you to our latest new recruits… all nine of them!
We welcome Julie Ball, our new receptionist. The first person you see at the office and the last on the way out! Julie previously worked as a journalist and editor on a range of titles includes five years on ‘What Car?’ magazine. During a career break to raise three children, she was involved in Public Relations for a wide variety of clients.
Over in our reservations department, we give a warm welcome our new Business Travel Consultants, Liz Rosenzweig and Lauren Allen. Liz is very passionate about travel and brings with her a wealth of experience in the industry; she will be celebrating a career birthday of 30 years next year! Lauren has been in the travel industry for 11 years, staring at Heathrow airport to now being a Business Travel Consultant. Another passionate individual who loves to travel and experience different cultures, Lauren is relishing the opportunity to help keep our business travellers travelling.
Joining us in our MICE (meeting, incentives, conferences & events) division, Globe, is Events Manager, Vicky Payne. After receiving her degree in Travel and Tourism Management, Vicky has worked in the events industry for 15 years. When she isn’t travelling, Vicky enjoys cooking and spending time with her family and friends.
We are also very excited about the new addition to our IT Development team, Philip Bateman, who graduated from Bucks New University in 2011 with a degree in Games Development. IT whizz during the day and musician by night, Philip is keen to make his mark at Giles Travel and play an active role in developing core products as well as supporting customers and colleagues.
Our hotel team is one of the busiest in the office and needed an extra pair of hands. We give a warm Giles welcome to Shelley Sudborough who also brings with her years of experience in the travel industry. Shelley enjoys horse riding, running and also volunteers at her local stable.
We say a huge hello to our new staff members in the Accounts Department: Carolyn Heatman, Hayley Christian and Catherine O’Connor. Often the unsung heroes of the business, these three ladies join an incredibly busy and dynamic team to ensure the Giles Travel wheels are kept well oiled!
Last, but most certainly not least, we introduce you to our new Commercial Director, Paula Cullen.
