For travel from 1st August 2014 until the end of summer season, British Airways will reduce services from London to Kiev but increase flights to Amsterdam, Basle and Newcastle

London Gatwick Summer 2015

In more British Airways news, the airline is launching five new routes from London Gatwick in summer 2015. Destinations are Bodrum, Sardinia, Dalaman, Heraklion and Rhodes.

Transatlantic Customers

The Atlantic Joint Business allows customers travelling between the USA, Canada, Mexico and Europe access to great fares across British Airways, Iberia, American Airlines, Finnair and OpenSkies among other benefits. The alliance currently operates 102 daily return flights between North America and Europe, 28 gateways in North America and 163 onward destinations, as well as 14 gateways in the European Union (plus Switzerland and Norway) and 126 onward destinations.

Connection Flights at Heathrow Terminal 5

From 5th June 2014, there is now a dedicated Express Connection lane to assist travellers on the most time critical connections through to their onward flights. Eligible customers will be provided with orange Express Connection invitations.

Lufthansa Premium Economy

The new Lufthansa Premium Economy Class is now available for booking for flights from this December. Benefits include free baggage allowance of two bags and comfortable seats. Flights will begin from Frankfurt to Chicago, Mexico City, Beijing and Washington DC.

Edinburgh to Doha

Qatar Airways launched a new route from Edinburgh Airport with 5 services per week operating from May 2014. Flying non stop to Doha the airline is the first to operate the 787 Dreamliner with 22 Business Class seats and 232 in Economy.

Ham Yard Hotel London Opening

The Ham Yard Hotel, London is now open. The hotel is located in Mayfair and has 91 bedrooms, library, and Spa, Gym and rooftop garden.

Avis Cars

Global car rental group Avis has launched mobile Wi-Fi across 12 markets in Europe. The mobile Wi-Fi kit is available to Avis customers for £8.50 a day. Users are able to connect up to five devices including smartphone, tablets and laptops.
