New BA routes to Germany
British Airways has announced new routes to Berlin from London City and London Stansted airports.
BA Dubai Lounge now open
The new British Airways lounge is now open in the recently built Concourse D at Dubai International Airport. The lounge can be used by all Business and First Class travellers or Gold Card holders. This lounge includes a bar, comfortable seats with power and USB connections, food and beverages.
In more British Airways news, BA will no longer accept new requests for Unaccompanied Minors. The airline will continue to take bookings for 12 to 18 year olds who wish to fly independently but from now on children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult aged 16 years or over.
Emirates extends online check-in
Emirates has extended its online check in from 24 to 48 hours before departure. The change means passengers are also now able to check in online through a desktop or mobile device.
Virgin Trains is adding 42 services a week between Edinburgh and London from May. The rail operator will boost seat capacity by 22,000 a week on the popular route.
Hilton Expands Uber Partnership
Hilton and Uber have announced an expansion of their partnership which was first launched last year. Hilton Honours members can now order an Uber car straight from the hotel’s app and Uber riders can now view their hotel stay information and check in from the Uber app.
Doubletree by Hilton opens London Excel Property
Doubletree by Hilton has announced the opening of its latest London property. Formerly the Ramada Hotel and Suites London Docklands, the 260 room Doubletree by Hilton London Excel is located on the Royal Victoria Dock, 11 minutes drive from Canary Wharf.
