UPDATE: Following further discussions on pay, Aberdeen International Airport can confirm that Unite have accepted the final proposal from the company. Aberdeen International Airport are in a position to confirm that the Industrial Action proposed by members of the union has been cancelled as a result, ensuring that there will be no disruption to the airport’s business partners and passengers.
Switzerland: Air traffic controllers in Geneva, other regional airports threaten to strike from 23 July
According to reports from Tuesday 11 July, the union Skycontrol, which represents the interests of air traffic controllers, has announced strikes for 23 July from 06:00a.m. (local time) to 10:00 a.m. (local time) and from 24 July from 08:00 a.m. (local time) to 25 July to 18:30 p.m. (local time). If no compromises are made to the strikers, the strike will be extended. In case of a strike, major air traffic disruptions are to be expected.
