BA Winter routes from London City

British Airways is launching a new route from London City Airport to three European capitals: Paris, Prague and Reykjavik, in October 2017. There will be three flights a day to Paris, six a week to Prague and two a week to Reykjavik.

BA Club World

As part of the transformation of BA Club World, the airline is introducing new bedding and amenity kits through a partnership with The White Company. Starting with the London Heathrow to New York route, passengers will receive a luxurious duvet, soft large pillow and padded mattress to improve the quality of sleep.  British Airways are also introducing a ‘breakfast card’ which allows passengers to choose if they want to be woken up for breakfast, or sleep in.

Air France to launch airline for millennials

Air France is to launch a new airline called ‘Joon’, which is set to attract the Millennial generation. Joon will operate mid-haul flights from Paris, targeting travellers aged 18-35.

Lufthansa Luggage Fee

Lufthansa is increasing short-haul luggage fees plus adding a £4 charge on bags. Passengers flying with Lufthansa, Austrian and Swiss airlines on an ‘Economy Light’ ticket do not have free baggage allowanced included in their fare.

TAP’s Lisbon New Lounge

The new lounge in Lisbon Airport is now open.  Facilities include showers, rest areas, business centre and a restaurant. Lounge access is open to all Victoria Gold, TAP Corporate TOP, Star Alliance Gold and TAP Platinum American Express passengers.

Raffles Hotel

Raffles Hotel is to revamp the iconic Old War Office building in Whitehall, London. The hotel will have 1,100 rooms across seven floors and is due to open in 2020.

Hilton Digital Room Key

A new service available to members of Hilton’s loyalty scheme enables guests to unlock their room and other relevant areas, such as the fitness centres, with their mobile phones.  Guests are able to check in the day before arrival using their smartphone. The UK rollout will start with 10 hotels before moving into 100 properties by the end of 2017 and 2,500 globally.
